We are tsenso, an IT Start-Up based in Stuttgart, that will introduce the dynamic expiry date on food to the world. We digitalize the food supply chain and thus make the actual freshness and quality of food more tangible. Our solution is intended to supplement the best-before-date and with that reducing food waste.

We are looking for a BI / Big Data Developer / Data Analyst (m/f/d)

You can and should be actively involved, realize your own ideas and gain many new experiences.
Your tasks include:

  • Push our existing solution to full scalability and turn customer requirements into functional features
  • ETL process operation and evolution
  • Coordination of the UI/Frontend activities from the data perspective

Our requirements:

  • Practical experience in Big Data and Business Intelligence (>1 year)
  • Experience in data reporting, data visualization and Analytics tools such as Pentaho BI, Apache Zeppelin and Jupyter
  • Your Big Data stack should include Spark and Hive (both over YARN). We also appreciate knowledge on Cloudera distribution (mainly Manager, Hue and Impala), Kafka, Flume and Hbase as well as some Scala and Python skills
  • Analytic skills, as well as a good understanding of business contexts
  • Good English skills/li>
